Introduction

I’m Jesse (she/her), a writer, theatre artist, dramaturg, teacher, and communications worker who is inspired by the solidarity economy, community building, arts and culture as methods for collective transformation, breaking bread together, and great writing.

I’m currently cultivating two intertwined creative approaches: my own artistic practice and supporting the work of other artists, organizations, and students.

I’m a white, cis, queer, thirty-something woman of German-Jewish and Western European decent living on Duwamish and Coast Salish lands. I grew up with a professional-class family with access to inherited wealth. I live with chronic pain and identify as disabled.

This website lays out the history of my artistic practices, my visions for future practices, my lineages and influences, and my offerings for others. Thank you for reading and I hope to chat more about collaborating.

You can reach me at jesse@jesseroth.com. I’m here to make friends, so don’t hesitate to throw me a line even just to say hi.
